GANSEVOORT

Linda Lee Giroux, 62, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, after a long illness, while surrounded by her loving family.

Born March 9, 1952 in Bennington, VT, she was the daughter of the late Jennie Louise Harrington and Frank Bailey.

On June 29, 1968, Linda married Philip Giroux.

Linda was employed by Mallinckrodt Catheter and GE for many years. She loved going to the casino, and getting together with her family for outings and cook outs. More than anything, Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her dad, Arnold Campney, her sister, Dorothy Landon, and her brother Philip Bailey.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 46 years, Philip R. Giroux, her children; Robert Giroux and his wife Cindy of Gansevoort, Philip Giroux of Schuylerville, Laurie Strong and her husband Mark of Glens Falls, Sara Giroux of Gansevoort, and Jodi Giroux of Wilton, her grandchildren; Nicole Giroux and her fiancé Josh Hess of Schenectady, Kaitlyn Giroux of California, Anthony Garney of Galway, Amber DeCresente of Gansevoort, Tyler Giroux of Wilton, Briana Strong of Glens Falls, Aidan Sullivan of Schuylerville, and Spencer VanGuilder of Gansevoort, her great-granddaughter Aryanna Cook of Schenectady, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be celebrated at 11am on Monday, June 30, 2014 at the funeral home with Rev. Brian Gould of Community Hospice of Saratoga officiating.

Interment will follow the funeral service at Southside Cemetery in South Glens Falls, NY.

Memorial donations in Linda’s name can be made to the Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
