Lloyd Van Arnum, 83, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at his home.

Born June 18, 1933 in Saratoga Springs, NY, he was the son of Harry and Florence (Southard) Van Arnum.

On May 20, 1962 Lloyd married the love of his life Helena at the Dutch Reformed Church in Schuylerville. Helena passed away on July 31, 2014.

Lloyd was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also loved snowmobiling. He was a very devout man who attended services at The Kingdom Hall in Wilton until his illness prevented him from doing so.

In addition to his wife, Lloyd was predeceased by his grandson, Joshua Van Arnum, his brother Stewart Van Arnum, his sister Evelyn Zublik, and his sister-in-law Shirley Van Arnum.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Tammy Meers, his son Brandon Van Arnum, his daughter Desnie Van Arnum, his daughter Tonya Van Arnum, his grandchildren; Amanda Watzke, Justin Watzke, Tara Meers, Tiffany Meers, Nicholas Van Arnum, and Damien Van Arnum, as well as his brother Vernon Van Arnum.

Friends may call from 11-1pm on Friday July 29, 2016 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.

A graveside service will take place at Greenridge Cemetery in Saratoga Springs following calling hours.

Memorial donations in Lloyd’s name can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
