Lloyd B. Wells, 78, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 4, 2013 after being stricken by a massive stroke while he was at Moak’s Auction Barn.

Lloyd was born May 12, 1934 in Gansevoort to the late Linus and Gladys (Wood) Wells.

He was a graduate of Fort Edward High School.

Lloyd was a well-known farmer in Gansevoort, and he had numerous farmer friends. Those who knew him will always remember him wearing his overalls. Lloyd was a kind and generous man, who will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, Lloyd was predeceased by his brother, Merwyn Wells and sister Carolyn MacDonald and her husband Kenneth, his sister-in law Geraldine (Lawrence) Wells and Eva (Potter) Wells, as well as his nephew Ira Wells.

Lloyd is survived by his brothers, Malcolm Wells of Greenwich, Loren Wells of Gansevoort, Lee Wells and his wife Barbara of Oregon, Nathaniel (Nat) Wells and his wife Lorraine of Granville, and Clyde and his wife Jean of Schuylerville. He is also survived by his aunt Ora Siuda of Queensbury as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, along with numerous cousins.

Per.Lloyd‘s request , there will be no calling hours.

A memorial service will be held Sunday March 10, 2013 at 2pm at the Gansevoort Volunteer Fire Department, Rt. 32, Gansevoort New York. In keeping with Lloyd’s memory, the family requests that you come as you are, be comfortable, and wear jeans.
