Marcia Jean Johnson, 72, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023, at her home.
Born February 28, 1951, in Salem, she was the daughter of Norma Tourge and the late Richard Tourge.
She graduated from Salem Central School. Marcia graduated from State University at Cobleskill in 1971. Right after graduation, she worked in the Operations Dept at Evergreen Bank for several years working her way up to become an officer. She retired from the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier for many years.
On June 7, 2017, she married Andrew Johnson in Vermont.
She enjoyed gambling, holidays, and spending time with her family.
Marcia was a member of the American Legion Post 574 in Hudson Falls.
In addition to her father, Marcia was predeceased by her first husband Robert Simmons.
Left to cherish her memory include her husband, Andrew Johnson; mother, Norma Tourge; sister, Karen Tourge. She also left behind two stepchildren, Natalie Hays and Brian Simmons, one special uncle Donald Ketchum and one special aunt Mary Jo Ketchum, plus several cousins.
A graveside service will be conducted in the spring at St. Josephs Cemetery in Fort Edward.
