Obituary for Margaret Linda Flewelling (Billings)
Our beloved mother, Margaret L. (Peggy) Flewelling, 72, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021, surrounded by her children, at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born on November 13, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Lois (Woodward) Billings, Sr.
She Married William (Cy) Flewelling Sr. with whom she spent many happy years with until his passing in 2010.
Left to cherish her memory include her children, William Flewelling Jr. and his wife, Victoria, Christopher Flewelling and his wife, Juanita, Jamie Flewelling and his wife, Rainey, Tonya Santaniello and her husband Peter, and her stepdaughter, Linda Skellie, along with grandchildren: David, Scotty, Diana, Sandra, Michael, Randy, Jacob, Brodie, Carver, David, Austin, Daniel, and Johnathan. Her siblings, Beverly Fish, Catherine Farrand and husband Dale, Kenneth “Uncle Pete” Billings Jr. and Sheila Fish and husband Bill. Also, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, and cousins.
Peggy loved being a mom and spent her younger years making many memories for her children which they will always cherish. She took them to the beach to play with their cousins, went fishing, and spent many days at Spier Falls and Haviland’s Cove. She went to as many sporting events as possible and was always a presence in her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren’s lives.
At Margaret’s request there will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 21st at 11:00 a.m. at the Community Chapel, 55 Main Street, Queensbury, NY 12804.
In Lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations in Margaret’s name be made to the Community Chapel of West Glens Falls, 55 Main St. Queensbury, NY 12804.
