Obituary for Mary Joan Touart (Pavlus)

SOUTH GLENS FALLS

In Loving Memory of Mary Touart

Mary Touart, born on February 23, 1941, in Manhattan, peacefully passed away on December 3, 2023, after bravely facing cancer. Mary spent her formative years in various boroughs of New York City, eventually settling in the welcoming town of South Glens Falls, where she lived the majority of her rich and meaningful life.

A devoted mother, Mary leaves behind her three sons, Martin, Daniel, and Frank, as well as her cherished daughter-in-law, Jennifer. Mary's professional journey led her to work with various companies in the South Glens Falls area, with the pinnacle of her career being her role as an Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of the Champlain Canal at the New York State Canal Corporation.

Mary found joy in the simple wonders of life, cultivating a deep appreciation for cardinals, crafts, and puzzles. In her retirement, she embarked on memorable travels through the Canadian Rockies and found solace in her South Glens Falls home. A newfound passion for painting blossomed during this chapter, resulting in beautiful depictions of landscapes and animals.

A lover of music and literature, Mary immersed herself in fiction, non-fiction, and biographies, and she never missed an episode of her favorite show, Blue Bloods. However, her true happiness was found in the company of friends within her apartment complex. Game nights, puzzles, potluck dinners, and weekend musical performances created cherished memories that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew her.

Mary Touart approached holidays with boundless anticipation, cherishing the moments spent with her family. Her warmth, love, and zest for life will be dearly missed but forever remembered by those fortunate enough to have shared in her journey.

May she rest in eternal peace.

Arrangements are in the care of the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main Street, South Glens Falls, NY.
