MaryLou DiNicola, 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at her home.
Born on March 4, 1935, in North Adams, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late William and Florence (LeSage) Schrade.
On July 14, 1956, MaryLou married the love of her life, Nicholas DiNicola, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in North Adams, MA.
MaryLou was a lifelong communicant of St. Michael’s Church in South Glens Falls.
She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and she had a passion for baking cookies for everyone to enjoy. MaryLou loved working at the Joy Store in South Glens Falls for many years. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to many places including, California, Montreal and Texas. MaryLou also enjoyed watching sports at the Civic Center.
In addition to her parents, MaryLou was predeceased by her sister, Carol Lyn Barry.
Left to cherish her memory include her husband of 62 years, Nicholas; her daughter, Lisa Shields and her husband, Daniel; her son, Nicholas DiNicola; her grandchildren, Jeffery and Anthony DiNicola; and Danielle Shields and her fiancé, Kyle Willmott, Nicholas and Carolyn Shields; her brother, William “Bill” Schrade; her favorite dogs, Mollie and Sadie; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and lifelong friends.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 4pm on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main Street, South Glens Falls, NY 12803.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Monday, April 1, 2019 at St. Michael’s Church, 80 Saratoga Ave., South Glens Falls, NY 12803, with the Rev. Guy A. Childs, officiating.
Rite of Committal will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Memorial donations in MaryLou’s memory can be made to the South Glens Falls Marathon Dance, 6 Bluebird Road, South Glens Falls, NY 12803.
