Obituary for Matthew David ""Bud"" Bristol

Matthew David ""Bud"" Bristol
SOUTH GLENS FALLS-

Matthew David Bristol, 41, of Cedar Lane, Gansevoort, passed away suddenly at home due to cardiac arrest on May 2, 2013.
Born October 2, 1971, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Lyndon and Margaret (Quackenbush) Bristol.
Matt grew up in the Glens Falls/Argyle area and graduated from Glens Falls High School in 1989. He was currently employed at Hill Electric as a warehouse manager.
Matt met the love of his life, Jeanette LoFrisco-Bristol, when they were both teenagers. Truly best friends, they were married on May 20, 1995, and built a home filled with love and laughter.
Matt adored his children, Christopher, 13, and Jacob, 6, and said it was the best day of his life both days they were born. Reveling in their accomplishments both big and small, his boys were a source of tremendous joy for Matt. They have been raised to this point truly knowing their father’s love and guidance. These three together gave new meaning to rough-and-tumble and the best thing to do when it started was just get out of the way.
Family was first for Matt and he was very close to his sisters, Kathy Ringer and Kelly Moon. The world was right for his sisters when they were all together. He shared a very special bond, as partners in crime do, with his brother-in-law Mike Ringer. He treasured his relationships with his brother, Lance Bristol, and brother-in-law, John Moon. His father-in-law, Leonard LoFrisco, was not only his wife’s father; he was his family. Uncle Bud was close to his nieces, Nichole Ringer and Ashley Moon, and always interested in their lives. Nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins were all very important to Matt.
Matt was an avid hunter and fisherman. He took pleasure in four wheeling and relished a good book. NASCAR and the hot rod that he and Chris rebuilt were at the top of his list, too. He also looked forward to weekly horseshoes or pool at Lee’s house, fishing with Drew and Tim and hunting bucks with Ed.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his mother-in-law Barbara LoFrisco, brother-in-law John Moon and his uncle John Daly.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Bristol; two sons, Christopher Bristol and Jacob Bristol; his sister Kathleen Ringer and brother-in-law Michael Ringer of Lake Luzerne; his sister Colleen Moon of South Carolina; his brother Lance Bristol and sister-in-law Karen Bristol of Queensbury; nieces, Nichole Ringer of California and Ashley Moon of California; his nephews, Ryin Bristol of Glens Falls, Stephen Bristol of Queensbury and Zachary Bristol of Queensbury; father-in-law Leonard LoFrisco of Queensbury; sister-in-law, Geri LoFrisco of Albany; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main Street, South Glens Falls.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the funeral home followed immediately by services at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Main Street, South Glens Falls.
