Obituary for Matthew John Winch

ARGYLE –

Matthew John Winch, 44, of Argyle passed away Friday. Sept. 14, 2012 at Glens Falls Hospital, from the result of an automobile accident.

Born October 26, 1967 in Elizabethtown, he was the son of the late Vernon and Ruth (Belrose) Winch.

Matthew attended Hudson Falls High School, and enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as fourwheeling with his four-legged buddy Bear. He was a talented craftsman, and made furniture, Adirondack style crafts, as well as building his home for the love of his life and wife of 28 years, Amy. Matthew worked for many years at Eastern Castings in Cambridge, NY, and most recently at Glens Falls Toyota and Whiteman Chevrolet.

In addition to his wife Amy, Matthew is survived by his son Matthew John Winch, II of Argyle, his step-mother Marilyn Winch, his sister Marie Plude and her husband Clayton, his niece Bonnie Sawn and her companion Jake Ellis, as well as their children Emily and Haley and his niece Christina Winch. He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law, Andrew and Carol Bailey, his sister- in-law Pamela and her son David James Jamieson, a special cousin Patty Gilbert, and many, many friends.

Friends may call from 5-7pm, Wednesday Sept. 19, 2012 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral, 82 Broadway, Ft. Edward, with a Memorial Service directly following at 7pm at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sandra Spaulding, pastor of Cossayuna Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
