Obituary for Michael Scott Kiernan
SCHENECTADY
Michael S. Kiernan, 61, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Ellis Hospital following a short illness.
Born July 12, 1961 in Albany, NY, he was the son of the late Edwin and Mary Jane (Marsh) Kiernan.
Michael graduated from Albany High School and attended the College of Saint Rose. He enjoyed fishing and enjoyed when his friends would go with him. He was an avid reader. Michael was extremely well-liked and served as an ambassador at the City Mission where he welcomed new residents and gave them a sense of belonging. He will be greatly missed by many.
In addition to his parents, Michael is predeceased by his brother Keith Kiernan.
Left to cherish his memory are his brother Kevin Kiernan (Mary-Jo), his sister Karen Stella, his niece Helene, as well as several cousins.
Arrangements are in the care of the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main Street, South Glens Falls, NY 12803. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
