Michael Lalor, 75 a long time resident of Glens Falls passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at The Pines of Glens Falls.

Born in Glens Falls on July 14, 1938, he was the son of the late Emmet and Myrtle Lalor.

Mike was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy. He continued his studies at Mt. St. Mary’s in Maryland, The University of Toronto, Ithaca College and The American Academy in New York City. Mike travelled widely, working in San Francisco, Monterey, Syracuse, Albany, New York City, Saratoga Springs, and Bolton, with his most recent work place being TV Data in Glens Falls.

He was an avid film buff and a great lover of music and reading. Many residents of the Cronin Hi-Rise join with his family in attesting to his culinary skills as he loved to cook for all of us.

Besides his parents, Mike is predeceased by his sisters, Jane McKelvey Baker and Marianne Bartlett, and a brother, Robert Emmet.

Left to cherish his memories are his sisters, Carol Sledd (Robert) and Margaret of Glens Falls, a brother, Stephen (Trapper) Lalor of Seattle, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

At Mike’s request there will be no calling hours. In keeping with Mike’s wishes, his body was donated to the Albany Medical College so his body would be used for educational purposes.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
