Norman G. Fayette, 72, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2014 at the Glens Falls Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Born August 17, 1941 in Plattsburgh, NY, he was the son of the late Elmer and Beatrice (Tamer) Fayette.

Norman retired after 20 years of service from Jackson Heights Elementary School in the Glens Falls School district. His passion was being involved with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Norman was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and teaching his children and grandchildren to appreciate the outdoors as well. Every year since 1972, Norman volunteered for Woodman of the World activity and events, especially the Youth Camp. He also enjoyed listening and dancing to his country music and country bands.

In addition to his parents, Norman was predeceased by his brother David Fayette, his sister Judy Bombard, and his granddaughter Kimberly Fayette.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 51 years, Jacqueline (Hewson) Fayette, his children; Patrick Fayette and his wife Traci of Wilton, Catherine Delk and her husband Glen of Hudson Falls, Philip Fayette and his wife Lisa of Clanton, AL, Candy Prevost and her husband Robert of Queensbury, Scott Fayette and his wife Corina of Fort Edward, and Peter Fayette and his wife Theresa of Fort Edward, 21 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and his siblings; Nancy Fayette, Carol Kipp and her husband Rodney, Brenda Fayette, and Consetta Fayette, all of Plattsburgh, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service will be celebrated at 6pm at the funeral home.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
