Patricia (Pat) J. Lawson, 68, of Fort Edward (formerly Warrensburg) passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at her home.
Pat was born April 7th, 1954 in Glens Falls Hospital. She was the daughter of Michael Smyth and Joyce (Errager) Smyth.
Pat graduated from Warrensburg Central School in 1972. She also graduated in 1988 as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked for many organizations including Adirondack Tri-County Nursing Home, Hudson Headwaters, The Landing of Queensbury, Delmar Gardens in St. Louis, MO and a few others.
Pat took pride in her Irish and her Native American heritages, celebrating them any time she was able to. She enjoyed going to Irish festivals and attending live Irish concerts. Pat liked to attend Indian Pow Wows and visit national Native American sites throughout the United States.
Pat became an avid Bingo player. She would plan her week around her Friday night Bingo games. She loved getting out and seeing people, and visiting with her many friends. Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to get out as much the past few years due to illness. Her family was the most important thing to her and loved spending time with them any chance she got.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Ellen and her niece, Erica.
Survivors include her son George Dunkley and his wife Erin of Bakers Mills, her daughter Bridget Kimmerly and her husband John of Fort Edward, her sister Karen Barry and her husband, Walter of Queens NY, her sister Holly Smyth of Hudson Falls, her brother Kevin Smyth and his wife Susan of Queensbury, her brother Jerry Smyth of Queensbury, her grandchildren Lucas, Hudson, Jessica, and Jason, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Friends may call from 10-11am on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at 11am at the funeral home with Sister Donna Irvine, SSND officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery.
