Paul graduated from Hudson Falls High School in 1972. Always had after school jobs. He loved to learn. Before graduating, he signed up on the buddy system to enter the service. During 1972-1976 he entered the Marine Corps with sights set on becoming a commercial diver. His first bit of deployment was spent in Okinawa learning to dive and where he received his divers license. Paul completed his 4 years of service and 2 years of reserves, finishing his journey as Rank LT E-7. He was very proud of his service. During this time, he completed several continuing education courses and completed his course in welding technology at Bremerton Community College. Always learning.

Paul and Mary Ann (Cason) Burlett became one on August 4, 1979, in the Lake Luzerne Presbyterian Church. They raised 3 wonderful children and are so proud of all their accomplishments. They have been blessed with their 2 granddaughters Lexi and Gianna who they love with all their heart. Paul was a great husband….. wonderful father… and best grampa ever! Paul was very well respected among his peers. A friend for life- charming and fun to be around. He was so easy to talk to while giving you his ear with no judgement. This made him the friend we all wanted for life.

Started out after the service working at Albany Public Market in Glens Falls stocking shelves. Then VT and Lake George maintaining houseboats. In construction field for many years. Worked for Lincoln Logs and Green Mansions both in Chestertown. Shortly after went to Hill Electric Supply where he worked on the counter and delivering supplies in the Glens Falls area. He worked at Aquatic Construction for 10 plus years out of Albany where he built commercial pools and theme water parks. The first pool was in Plattsburgh for the 1980 winter Olympics. He built many styles of pools with moving floors. Several were done at Rutgers University in Brunswick NJ. He traveled all over the U.S. lots of time in NJ, NYC, KY, FL, CO, and more. In Louisville, KY he was the project manager supervisor and really enjoyed all the different aspects of the job. Traveling and all the challenges he loved it all; except for being away from his family weeks at a time. Paul started at Encore/SCA/Essity as a machine tender and soon after trained as a pipe fitter until his retirement with 22 years of service. He completed courses in computer science and the electrical field.

At Paul's request, there will be no calling hours.
