Richard John Mattison, 65, passed away after a courageous battle that took him too soon on Tuesday, May, 11, 2021, at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born on November 14, 1955, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Charles Elmer and Genevieve Marguerite (Parker) Mattison.
For a few years, Richard worked for Lake George Great Escape in the maintenance department.
He enjoyed mechanical work and being outside.
In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by his brothers-in-law, Charles Viele and Roger Durham; his sister-in-law, Peggy Mattison.
Left to cherish his memory include his siblings, Jackie Durham, David Mattison and his wife, Jeanne, Charles Mattison and his wife, Susan, Gary Mattison and Cathy Viele; his dog, Sammy; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Richard’s request there will be no calling hours. Burial and services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Memorial donations in Richard’s memory can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
