Gansevoort
Richard P Worth passed away Thursday, August 18th, 2022 at his home in Gansevoort.
He was born on December 29th, 1959 in Glens Falls; he was the son of the late Joyce (Losaw) and Charles Worth.
Richard attended South Glens Falls High School. He worked as a self-employed contractor and in the maintenance department for the Washington County Fair Grounds. Richard was a handy man with the ability to build an entire home. Also, Richard was a former member of the Gansevoort Volunteer Fire Department.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, NASCAR and most importantly, teasing his nieces and nephews. He was a very outgoing and loving person. Richard would become friends with all his clients and would visit his friends regularly. He enjoyed going to assisted living and nursing homes to visit and check in on friends
as well. You could always find him at one of his favorite places “Stewarts” to have a good chat.
Richard is survived by his nine siblings: Sandra and Scott Bauberger of Warrensburg; Nancy and Doug Plude of Virginia Beach, VA; Charles and Sandy Worth of Fayetteville, NC; Robert and Cindy Worth of Adams, TN; Ronald and Donna Worth of St. Robert, MO; Joan Hoag and Roger McAusland of Hudson Falls; Jeff Worth of Raeford, NC; Terry Worth of Fort Edward; and Paula Sargent of Acworth, GA. Along with Aunt Lucy Worth and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 24th 2022, at 11 a.m. at the Southside Cemetery, Town of Moreau.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard’s memory to the Gansevoort Volunteer Fire Department, 1870 Route 32N, Gansevoort, NY 12831 and/or the Adirondack Vets House Inc., 26 Pine Street, Glens Falls, NY 12801.
