Obituary for Robert "Bob" Blinstrubas

Waterbury, CT, and Salem

Robert “Bob” Blinstrubas, 66, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Glens Falls Hospital from a brief illness.

Born on January 10, 1955 in Waterbury, CT, he was the son of the late Joseph and Helen (Kenyon) Blinstrubas.

Bob graduated from Holy Cross High School and later graduated with his bachelor’s degree from University of Connecticut. He was a proud member of St. Anthony’s Church in Prospect, CT.

On September 8, 1979, Bob married the love of his life, Linda Palmer in Prospect, CT.

He proudly retired from Waterbury Republican-American after 39 years.

Bob enjoyed fishing, playing, and watching sports, his beloved dog, Cooper, and most importantly spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his brother, David Blinstrubas.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 41 years, Linda; his children, Abby Blinstrubas (Curtis Walker, Jr.), Joshua Blinstrubas (Allie Holsworth); his grandchildren, Chance, River, Quinn Walker; two sisters, 1 brother and many in laws, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

At Bob’s request there will be no calling hours. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
