Obituary for Robert P Chadwick
FORT EDWARD
Robert P Chadwick Sr passed away on Wednesday October 16th, 2022, at The Albany Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Born on June 17, 1938, in Glens Falls, he was the son of the late Royal and Beatrice (Fowler) Chadwick
On October 6th, 1962, Robert married the love of his life, Donna Woodard. They have been married for 60 years.
Robert was an avid outdoors man. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and wood working. Most importantly he loved his family. His grandchildren and great grand children meant the world to him.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Marlene (Charles) Thibado, his brother, Royal A. (Alice) Chadwick Jr, his sisters, Patricia (John) Lewis, and Carol Martindale, and his brother David Chadwick of 9 months.
Left to cherish his memory include his brother Gary (Carol) Chadwick, his sister, Sharon (David) Aminia, his brothers Donald (Janice) Chadwick and John Chadwick, his son Robert (Wendy) Chadwick Jr, his daughter Donna (Kenneth Jr.) Vanier, his son Royal W. (April) Chadwick, and his brother in law of his sister Carol, Fran Martindale, his grandchildren Ryan (Abby) Chadwick, Cierra (Chris) Chadwick, Alyssa (Eric) Lafountain, Ashley (Austin) Chadwick, Jacobe (Katherine) Vanier, Jeremy (Brooke) Vanier, Morgan (Jake) Chadwick, Royal W. Chadwick II, Aaliyha Chadwick, and Abigail Chadwick, and 3 great grandchildren.
A committal service with full military honors will take place on Friday October 21, 2022, at 10am at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY 12871. A celebration of life in Robert’s memory will follow from 4-7 on Friday October 21,2022, at the South Glens Falls Fire Dept on Reynolds Road (Rt-197).
Donations may be made in his memory to the South Glens Falls Fire Dept, Reynolds Road (Rt-197), South Glens Falls, NY and Durkeetown Baptist Church, 2 Durkeetown Road, Fort Edward, NY, 12828.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center for their 35 years of care to Robert and also The Albany Medical Center.
