Robert L. “Robbie” Conley, 27, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 7, 2014.
Born in Glens Falls on October 21, 1986, he was the son of George and Kathy (Bickford) Conley.
He was a graduate of Fort Edward High School, Class of 2005. Robbie was currently attending Hudson Valley Community College and was enrolled in the nursing program, making the Dean’s list last semester. He wanted to follow in his sister’s footsteps with hopes of becoming a nurse practitioner specializing in addiction and recovery. Robbie always said he want to do for others what others have done for him.
Robbie overcame many obstacles to become an outstanding athlete who excelled at basketball and loved all sports. He was an avid Yankees, Cowboys, and Notre Dame Fan who never missed a game with his dad. Robbie was proud to have been coached by his dad and his mom was his number one fan, never missing any of his games. One of his favorite things to do with his dad was take the two dogs, Sukie and Rocky to their special place in Lake George to go swimming on hot summer days. Robbie loved and adored his dog Rocky.
He was extremely close to his family, they talked every day, and enjoyed spending time together especially on their summer vacations. Robbie’s mother, father and sister were always there for him with their unconditional love and support. He had a wonderful personality, infectious smile and laughter that could light up a room.
Robbie is predeceased by his Nana, Gram and Pop Conley.
Left to cherish his memories are his parents George and Kathy Conley of Fort Edward, sister and best friend Nicole Conley, maternal grandparents, Larry and Barb Bickford of Fort Edward, beloved dog, Rocky along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Church 164 Broadway Fort Edward with Rev. Thomas Babiuch, pastor, and Rev. Marty Fisher, pastor of St. Joseph’s Church in Greenwich, officiating.
Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Fort Edward.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Robbie’s memory may be made at Glens Falls National Bank, 159 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.
