Robert F. Viele, 76, passed on Friday, April 2, 2021, at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born on January 25, 1945, he was the son of the late Fred and Mary (Trackey) Viele.
Robert graduated from Fort Edward High School. He retired from Finch and Pryun after 30 years of service.
On December 31, 1981, Robert married the love of his life Melissa Squires.
He enjoyed boating on Lake George, camping on Lake Champlain at Bulwagga Bay, watching the New York Yankees and Boston Celtics, and most of all spending time with his family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Melissa; his children, Michael Viele, Brigitte Giacchetta, Amy Brainard, Dawn Rose; grandchildren, Brian and Brooke Giacchetta, Tanner Rotella, Lorenzo Amato, Luke Finamore, Lauren Cabral; his siblings, Elizabeth Lane, Joseph (Rosemary) Viele; brothers and sisters in-laws; Skip (Marie), Sharon (Matt), Connie (Jeff), Lori (Jim), Scott (Shelly), Randy (Sheri), Shawnee (Bill), Kim; his beloved cat, Mitzy and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Robert’s request there will be no calling hours. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
