Ronald “Dooley” LaMarque, 74, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, NY.

He was born at the House Boat Colony on the La Chute River in Ticonderoga on June 14, 1939. He was the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Fleury) LaMarque.

Ron grew up in Ti where he enjoyed playing sports and excelled in baseball.

While in high school, he served in the Air National Guard and joined the Air Force after graduation. Ron was active duty during Vietnam in the 6924th squadron in Da Nang.

On March 8, 1975, he married Patricia Eynon in England.

Ron enjoyed watching sports, was a coach for a girls traveling softball team for many years, had a passion for music and loved golfing. He was an avid Manchester United, Buffalo Bills, and Yankees fan. Ron was happiest spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Ron was predeceased by his daughter, Debra LaMarque, granddaughter, Bailey Triller, and a brother, Earl Betts.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 38 years, Patricia LaMarque include his daughter Paula Bayliss-Triller and her husband John of Newburgh, his son Darren Bayliss and his wife Mary Ellen of Queensbury, grandchildren, Emily, Sara, Burke, Shaylea, Devin, and Garrett, longtime friend, Don Fountaine, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be conducted at 11am on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013 at the Queensbury United Methodist Church, 460 Aviation Road, Queensbury, NY 12804 with the Rev. Phillip Phaneuf, officiating.

Burial with full military honors will be conducted 1:00pm Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY
