Obituary for Rosemary Pendergrass (MacMorris)

Rosemary N. (MacMorris) Pendergrass, 90, formerly of Sheridan Street, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the Fort Hudson Nursing Home, Fort Edward.
Born on April 4, 1925 in Knoxville, TN, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (McDougall) MacMorris.
Rosemary attended Middlebury College in Vermont.
On September 5, 1947 Rosemary married MacAvoy “Mac” Pendergrass at the South Argyle United Presbyterian Church. Rosemary remained a lifelong devout Christian and partook in daily Bible Devotions. She was a member of Argyle United Presbyterian Church for almost 70 years and served in many capacities there.
Rosemary was very active in the Argyle community. She worked as a kindergarten aide at the Argyle Central School, enjoyed luncheons with the Argyle Retired Teachers, worked at the Argyle Free Library, and was involved with the Argyle Improvement Association. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed making quilts for her children and grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 68 years, MacAvoy Pendergrass, her children; Thomas Pendergrass (Anne) of Argyle, John Pendergrass (Lisa) of Wilmington, NC, Peter Pendergrass (Teri) of Greenwich, Philip Pendergrass (Linda) of Firestone, CO, and Mary Beth Jones of Hartford, her grandchildren; Sean Pendergrass (Katherine), Alison Santiago (Noel), Andrew Pendergrass (Michelle), John Pendergrass, Patrick Pendergrass, Keith Pendergrass (Taylor), Joshua Pendergrass (Jess), Tyler Pendergrass, Felicity Jones (Mike), Lydia Jones (Rob), and Thaddeus Jones, her great-grandchildren; Amanda and Thomas Pendergrass, Henry and Samuel Pendergrass, Aidan and Emma Santiago, and Marisa, Jaiden and Hunter Pendergrass, as well as her brother; John MacMorris (Edna).

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11am on Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Argyle Presbyterian Church, Main St. Argyle with the Rev. Stephen McLean, pastor of the Argyle Presbyterian Church and Rev. Deb Peacock, officiating.
Burial will follow in the South Argyle Cemetery.
