HEBRON

Sandra Lee Kilburn-Cook, 51, of Hebron, NY was brought into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, April 26, 2014 in The Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital after a short battle with cancer.

Born on September 7, 1962 in Burlington, VT, she was the first born of Winston and Marie (Denno) Kilburn of Hebron, NY.

Sandra attended South Glens Falls schools and held a variety of jobs throughout her life. She was a very free spirited and independent woman who enjoyed spending time with her friends, Jamie, Tina and Rob, as well as her companion William Bradley. She loved being at home, playing with her cats, and gardening. She was passionate about art and took great pleasure in drawing, crocheting, and knitting. Sandra was very fond of loud music and scary movies. She found solace in sitting outside under the stars in front of a fire.

Besides her grandparents Bertrand and Rose Denno, and Robert and Florence Kilburn, she was predeceased by her Godmother Valetta Leduc, other aunts and uncles, and cousins; Rob Kilburn, and Todd and Nan Leduc.

Survivors include two daughters, Amanda L. (Ash) Chovan of Latham and her husband Jakob, and Michelle M. (Cook)LaPoint of Pottersville, NY, her siblings; Winston Kilburn and his wife Tia of Gansevoort, Penny Wood and her companion Michael McLaughlin of South Glens Falls, Ethan Kilburn of Gansevoort, and Jason Kilburn and his wife Angie of Granville, her grandchildren; Saraya, Bailey, Tiler, Kameron, and one not yet born, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be celebrated at 11am on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828, with Rev. Thomas Zelker from Immaculate Conception Parish, Hoosick Falls officiating.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
