Obituary for Sandra Lee Washburn (Campney)

Sandra Lee Washburn, 78 formerly of Farr Lane, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022, at the Fort Hudson Nursing Home, Fort Edward surrounded by her loving family.

Born on October 16, 1943, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Myrtle (Jay) Campney.

On July 6, 1968, she married the love of her life, Kenneth Washburn at the Baptist Church in East Poultney Vt. He passed away on February 23, 2012.

More than anything in the world she loved her family. She enjoyed family get togethers and spending time with her son and grandchildren. She loved to sing and sang in her early days with her sisters on the radio. She took every opportunity to sing and while in the nursing home she comforted everyone with her voice. She was an avid Elvis Presley Fan and worked side by side with many of the greatest Elvis impersonators. She enjoyed her cats, especially Skeeter “the terror”, Jack and Charlie as well as her dog, baby Bella. She was a beautiful soul who loved her family unconditionally. She was an amazingly loving wife, mom, sister, aunt and Nina.

Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her sisters, Barbara Pincheon and Norma Campney and brother Barry Campney.

Left to cherish her memory include her pride and joy, her son, Christopher Washburn (Maria) of Kingsbury, 6 grandchildren, Ashley Daniels (Austin), Samantha Marcotte (Jeff), Cassandra Parrish, Brandon Washburn, Kileigh Washburn (Darin Wallach) and Christopher Breault. 11 greatgrandchildren, Austin, Aiden, Kadence, Ayden, Kendall, Aaliyah, Jeffrey, Cadence, Raegan, Madeline and Preston; her grand-dog, Bear Washburn; her sister, Gloria Duprey (Donald); her brothers, James Campney, Dennis Campney (Carol) and several nieces, nephews and loving family members.

Funeral Services will be conducted following the calling hours at 4pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
