Obituary for Sarah Lynn Rumrill

Sarah Lynn Rumrill, 43, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020, at her home.
Born on Nov. 17, 1976, in Rutland, VT, she was the daughter of Allen Rumrill Sr. and Patricia (Blood) O’Dell.
She graduated from Rutland High School. Sarah was a tremendous and loving mother to her children who meant the world to her and a loving daughter who will be dearly missed. Two and half years ago, Sarah met the love of her life, Mark McGourty, they instantly fell in love and changed each other’s lives for the better.
Sarah was predeceased by her daughter, Ashlynn Barrett; her paternal grandparents, Gilman and Velma Rumrill; her maternal grandparents, Edger and Adelle Blood.
Left to cherish her memory include her father, Allen Rumrill and his wife, Anna of Salem; her mother, Patricia O’Dell and her husband, Gus of Rutland; her fiancé, Mark McGourty of Fort Edward; her children, Alex and Brendan Barrett; her brothers, Allen Rumrill Jr. and his wife, Samantha of Rutland, Robert Rumrill and his wife, Kim of Rutland, Lucas Rumrill of Salem; her step siblings, David Ricard Jr. and his wife, Rebecca of Salem, Rebecca Ricard of Salem, Nola O'Dell Waite of Connecticut; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends may call from 12 noon to 1pm on Monday, Jan. 20, 2020, at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.
A Memorial Service will be conducted following the calling hour at 1pm at the funeral home.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in the spring.
