Obituary for Serenity Elyza Cook

You may be familiar with the name Serenity Elyza Cook, her mommy is Sara Gray and daddy Robert Cook.

On Saturday (July 8th 1030am) Mommy went into labor and gave birth to Serenity Elyza (12 1/4inches and 1 pound 4.2 ounces), instead of this being a live birth and a joyous event it has turned into an extremely traumatic heart breaking time for both Sara and Robert and the entire family. Serenity was baptized as a Baptist. The pregnancy was a complete surprise, but once we (the family) acknowledged and accepted this news, we (the family )were all on board and over the top that the family would soon have a new member and she was a baby girl.

Sara and Robert have no other children, Serenity would have been their first child. As you can expect Sara and Robert were extremely excited and was very much looking forward to their baby girl’s arrival. They bought parenting books, they read to her and played Bach symphonies and rock every day for her. Her favorite song was "Serenity" by Godsmack. They continuously referenced her name whenever they had the chance and they would talk to her all the time. For the short amount of time that Sara and Rob had Serenity, they loved her to the moon and back. We all loved her.

"Dearest Serenity my little bug,at first I was terrified scared of having a baby of my own.Even more so finding out that you were a girl. You see I already had rules for you like no dating until I was gone. But now you're gone before I could even see you, hold you, kiss you, sing, read and everything else a father could do for his daughter. My heart is shattered into a million pieces but I know that my lil Bug ,with her wings, is flying so high over me.I love you so incredibly much,my daughter , may you forever and always rest in the happiest of bach and rock music.
I love you, your daddy Robert cook"

"My dearest Serenity,
for the short time, I've enjoyed so much with you ! You loved your Butter Pecan coffee of course in low amounts and diet Dr.pepper! We danced, listened to music and listened to Daddy snore. And of course you were dancing and kicking me too! I greatly miss you and I love you so much my bug.
I love you, your mommy Sara Gray."
