Obituary for Sheila L. McDonald (Cramer)

FORT EDWARD -
Sheila L. (Cramer) McDonald, 67, of Fort Edward passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at the Glens Falls Hospial surrounded by her loving family.

Born on November 22, 1942 in Greenfield, MA she was the daughter of the late Philip and Carolyn (Zlobel) Cramer.

She graduated from Fort Edward High School class of 1960.

On April 20, 1963 she married James McDonald at the St. Joseph Church in Fort Edward.

Sheila was a loving caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed reading, watching televised sport events, and news programs. Most of all she enjoyed being with her family playing card games, going on motorcycle rides and attending her grandchildren's school events.

She looked forward to times with her sisters, especially for "Sisters Week-ends". Sheila also enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casinos with family and friends. Sheila was often found sporting around in her Ford Mustang that was named "Shea's Pony". Sheila also shared great times with her special friend Carla Pogonowski of Newport, NY including papering and painting for family and friends.

Sheila will be missed by many. She was fun to be with and leaves us all with many fond memories.

Besides her parents Sheila was predeceased by one brother in-law Thomas Ingalls of Hudson Falls.

Survivors besides her husband of 47 years include her daughter, Carrie Mallory and her husband Todd of Fort Edward; three sons, Jeffery McDonald and his wife Sue of Fort Edward, David McDonald and his wife Celeste of Hudson Falls and Daniel McDonald and his wife Linda of Hudson Falls; seven grandchildren, Brandon and Nathan McDonald of Fort Edward, Justin Mallory of Fort Edward, Melissa and Melanie McDonald of Hudson Falls and Travis and Zach McDonald of Hudson Falls; one great-granddaughter Keaton of Hudson Falls; three sisters, Phyllis (Cramer) Rea and her husband Ronald of Fort Eward, Susan (Cramer) O'Sick and her husband Michael of Fort Edward, Carol (Cramer) Ingalls of Hudson Falls and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home following calling hours on Monday, May 3, 2010 at 1 p.m. with Fr. Thomas Babiuch, pastor of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Fort Edward, officiating.

The Rite of Committal will follow at St.Joseph's Cemetery, Fort Edward.
