Obituary for Shirley Ann Chapman (Harrington)

Shirley Ann Chapman, 70, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014 at Glens Falls Hospital with her son by her side.
Born in Fort Edward on September 18, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Renard and Dorothy (Caddar) Harrington.
Shirley attended Fort Edward High School.
On June30, 1961, she married John P. Chapman in St. Josephs’ Church in Fort Edward. They spent almost 50 wonderful years together before John’s passing in 2011.
Shirley enjoyed cooking, bingo, was an avid Washington Redskins fan, taking summer vacations and most of all, loved spending time with her family.
Besides her parents and husband, Shirley is predeceased by siblings, Tom, Bob, Harland, Harold, Seward, Ruth, Marilyn Jean, Louise, Irene and Carol.
Left to cherish her memories are her son, Loran Chapman and wife Kathaleen of Hudson Falls, granddaughter, Jenna Lord and husband Jeffrey, great granddaughter, Genevieve Lord, brother, Steve Harrington and wife Bev of Altamont, sister, Margaret Pike of Fort Edward, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a longtime family friend and care giver, Don Myers, of Fort Edward.
At Shirley’s request, there will be no calling hours.
Service and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
