Obituary for Steven Douglas Mattison
Steven D. Mattison 67, passed away at home after a long illness.
Steven was born in Cambridge on August 8, 1951. He graduated from Hudson Falls High School as a member of the class of 1969 and then Served in the United States Air Force from 1971-75, reaching the rank of sargent. He continued on at Adirondack Community College receiving a degree in Business Administration.
He spent the bulk of his career working in manufacturing at Valcour Imprinted Papers, Native Textiles and Praxis.
Steven was a member of Village Baptist Church in Fort Edward. He loved all types of music, gardening,cooking and fishing/touring with his best friend Hub. His grandchildren, Kylie, Logan and Emma were the apple of his eye.
Steven was predeceased by his father, Gerald Mattison. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Elsie Mattison, his son, Steven D. Mattison II and wife,Karen, grandchildren, Kylie,Logan and Emma Mattison, sister, Sandra Spaulding and husband, Guy, brother Michael Mattison and wife, Julie.
Friends may call from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, January 23 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home,82 Broadway, Fort Edward. NY 12828. Services will follow at 4 p.m. with Pastor Sandra Spaulding, officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday May 8, 2019 at 11 am at North Argyle Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Fort Edward Food Pantry, 131 Broadway, Fort Edward.
