Susan Guilder, 69, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, with her loving family by her side.
Born on July 17, 1954, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Norma (Bradway) Waters, Sr.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, always putting her family first.
Susan married the love of her life, Ronald Guilder on December 5, 1972. They spent 50 loving years married, raising a family, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
She worked many years as a CNA at various nursing homes in the area until furthering her education and getting licensed as an LPN. Susan finished her nursing career at Hallmark Nursing Home in Granville, NY.
Susan enjoyed attending sporting events, concerts and milestone moments of her children and grandchildren.
She could always be found on the sidelines cheering them on, she enjoyed going on vacations, always looking forward to her yearly trip to Las Vegas. Susan enjoyed spending the holidays with her family, playing cards, games on her phone, and making food for her family, (fried bread dough dinners, minced meat pie, apple turnover and M&M cookies were just a few of her favorites). She enjoyed going to casinos and playing Bingo. Her greatest joy was spending time with her husband Ron and making memories with her family.
In addition to her parents, Susan was predeceased by her in laws, Paul and Shirley Peregrim; brothers, Leonard and Robert Waters; a sister, Rose Swinton; her brother-in-law, Roy Guilder.
Left to cherish her memory include her husband of 50 years, Ron; her children, Iivey Chandler, Ronda (Dave) Stockman, Ronald Guilder; her grandchildren, Lauren and Jenna Siaulnski, Brody, Devin, and Demi Stockman; her brothers, Jacob (Connie) Waters, Edwin Waters; her sisters, Kathy Waters, Shirley Thompson, Bonnie (Theodore) Russell; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
At Susan’s request, there will be no calling hours.
A service will be conducted at 10:00am on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward NY 12828.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
