Timothy David “Iggy” Roberts, 61, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2015 at his home, with his family by his side.

Born January 20, 1954, in Glens Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Edward “Hecky” and Mary “Phyllis” (Sears) Roberts Jr.

Tim graduated from Fort Edward High School and attended SUNY Geneseo. He was the club champion of the Tee Bird Golf Course in the mid1970s and received the Joe D’Angelico award in 1972.

Tim worked for several years laying pipelines in the Houston/Galveston TX area, and eventually returned to the area where he was employed by Pleasant Valley Infirmary where he did maintenance for 20 years.

Iggy loved to play golf and watch horse racing in Saratoga Springs. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees. Most of all, he cherished his annual fishing trips with his group of friends to Blue Mountain Lake.

In addition to his parents, Tim was predeceased by his niece Kathleen “Beaner” Traver, and his dear friend John “Hotzie” McHenry.

Left to cherish his memory are his brothers; Edward “Steve” Roberts and his wife Joyce of Fort Edward, Richard “Dick” Roberts, and Phillip Roberts and his wife Laura of South Glens Falls, his sisters; Kathleen Green and her husband Steve of Vero Beach, FL, and Mary Traver and her husband Matthew of Fort Edward, as well as many nieces and nephews.

At Tim’s request, there will be no calling hours. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in the care of the M.B.
