Travis Michael Partyka, 36, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021, in El Paso, TX.
Born June 27, 1984, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Deborah (Durkin) Witherell and her husband, David, and the late Michael Partyka.
Travis dedicated his life to being an Outstanding Leader in the Army Infantry, an Avid Outdoorsman, and a Brother to All. Travis served in the United States Army from 2004 to 2015 as an Infantryman and was a graduate of Ranger and Sniper School. During that time, he was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart Award and many others. Travis was most well known for the countless lives he touched and all of the people he influenced throughout his life. He thoroughly enjoyed working with his friends at BORTAC, Members of the Special Forces Community, The El Paso SWAT Team, and all of his brothers and sisters he served with in the Army. No matter what he had going on in his life, he would always drop everything to help anyone out. He was the most fiercely loyal brother you could ever ask for.
On October 17, 2015, he married Yoly Duarte in El Paso, Texas.
Travis was predeceased by his father, Michael; his maternal grandmother, Mary Brunelle.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Yoly Duarte; his mother, Deborah Witherell and her husband, David; his sister, Courtney Baker and her husband, Kevin; his niece, Nelle Baker; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends that he made along the way.
Friends may call from 4-6pm on Monday, February 8, 2021 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828. Due to COVID restriction, we are limited to the number in attendance in the funeral home at one time, please see staff upon arrival. Face masks and social distancing are required.
Due to COVID restrictions, Travis' graveside service will be private. Burial with military honors will be livestreamed on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 11am.
