Obituary for Walter Walker Dow Sr.

Walter W. Dow Sr., 84, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Glens Falls Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born June 23, 1931 in Moreau he was the son of the late James N. and Cora (Walker) Dow.
He attended South Glens Falls High School.
Walter married the love of his life Marion Hoag on March 8, 1953 at the Hudson Falls Methodist Church.
He enjoyed camping, vacationing, watching NASCAR especially Dale Earnhardt Jr. and spending time with family. Walter helped build a racecar that participated in Daytona.
Besides his parents, Walter was predeceased by seven siblings, Julia Kingsley, Duncan Dow, Nelson Dow, Gladys Zwijacz, James Dow, Elizabeth Robinson and Sarah Saunders.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Marion Dow; his children, JoAnn Owens (David), Walter Dow Jr. (Charmane), Andrew Dow (Tammy), Jeffery Dow (Cynthia), James Dow, Scott Dow (Michelle Smith); his sister, Martha Durkee; 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
At Walters request there will be no calling hours or services.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
