Trudy (Waltraud) Hilton, 76, of Fort Edward, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Glens Falls Hospital following a short illness.

Born in Eger, Czechoslovakia on July 25, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Maximilian and Erika (Haring) Ott.

Trudy was raised in Germany and later moved to the U.S where she enjoyed working at the Greenwich K-Mart for many years as the Manager. She, along with her husband James were active in the Second Continental reenactments and would host the annual 4th of July party.

Besides her parents, Trudy was predeceased by her husband James, who passed away on August 8, 2015 as well as her daughter, Heidi Burch, step-son, Gregory Hilton and step-grandson, Jake Hilton.

Left to cherish her memory include her sons, Harry Burch of Greenwich and Eric Burch of Fort Edward, her daughter, Gabriela Herbst of Germany; her step-sons, Philip Hilton of Ballston Spa, Tracey Hilton and his wife Sandra of Dallas, TX; her step-daughters, Patricia Tripp and husband Walter of Clarendon, Vt. And Teresa Parrish and husband Dana of Argyle; her brother, Fronz Ott from Germany as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial Services will be conducted at 6:00pm at the funeral home following he calling hour with the Rev. Mark Sheffer, officiating.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
