Fort Edward -

William J. Fox, 81 of St. James Rd., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the Glens Falls Hospital.

Born April, 7 1928 in Fort Edward, NY he was the son of the late William A. and Mary (Loda) Fox.

In April of 1967 Bill married the former Evelyn Burmaster of Ft. Johnson,NY.

Since the early 1970's "Smilin' Bill Fox" was the sole proprietor of Quaker T.V. Repair & Sales on Dix Avenue in Queensbury. His business was his life and he stayed involved even when ill at home.

Bill enjoyed traveling, taking rides to no place inparticular, and cruises to Puerto Rico. His other passion was the model plane he has been working on for the past 24 years.

Besides his parents Bill was predeceased by his nephew Fred Fiore

Survivors besides his wife of 43 years include his daughter, Suzanne Fox of Glens Falls; step-children, James McMullen and his wife Tammy of Saratoga and Maxine McMullen of St.Petersburg, Fla.; his sister, Barbara Fiore of Glens Falls; and sister-in-law, Norinne Kendall of Vancouver, Washington.

Friends may call on the family from 2 to 4p.m. on Monday, February 8, 2010 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 4 p.m. in the funeral home with Fr. Thomas Babiuch, pastor of St.Joseph's church in Ft.Edward, officiating.

Burial will be private.
