HUDSON FALLS
William P. O’Connor, 74, passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.
Born June 17, 1946 in Glens Falls, NY, he was the son of the late John J. and Alice M. (Patee) O’Connor.
Bill attended St. Mary’s Academy for grade school and graduated from Glens Falls High School. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Glens Falls.
Bill worked for the City of Glens Falls in the DPW. He then worked as self-employed trucker for several years before working for E&T O’Connor Construction for over 30 years. He was also employed by the Hudson Falls School District for six years.
On November 11, 1995, Bill married Leslie Ryan in Hudson Falls, NY.
He enjoyed water-skiing, snorkeling, boating and traveling. Bill also loved horseback riding. He was an animal lover and was known for keeping a pristine yard. Most of all, Bill loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his son, Philip J. O’Connor and his sister, Ann Decrosta.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 25 years, Leslie Ryan O’Connor, his children; Patrick J. O’Connor Sr. (Susan) of Queensbury, William Hart of Saratoga Lake, John Hart of Glens Falls, Rachel O’Connor (Daniel) of Schenectady, his grandchildren; Patrick J. O’Connor Jr. (Sara), Heather O’Connor (Abby), Sydney Hart, Meghann Hart, Makenna Hart, and Irelynn Hart, his great-grandchildren; Sophia O’Connor and Bria O’Connor, his brother Stephen O’Connor (Mary) of Queensbury, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call from 4-6pm on Monday, April 19, 2021 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828. A memorial service will be celebrated at 6pm at the funeral home following the calling hours with the Rev. Guy A. Childs officiating. Due to covid restrictions, only 60 people may enter the funeral home at once. Masks and social distancing are required.
Rite of Committal will be private and at the convenience of the family.
