William Edward Rehm
SOUTH GLENS FALLS -
William E. Rehm, age 54. passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on February 2, 2010, following a long illness.

Bill was the son of the late William E. Rehm, Sr. and Joyce (Rehm) Millett. After graduating from Costa Mesa High School in California, he furthered his education by attending college and taking horticulture related courses.

On his 17th birthday Bill enlisted with the United States Navy. He served from 1972 to 1975 and was aboard DD-852, the U.S.S. Leonard F. Mason, a tin can destroyer. While serving he was awarded numerous medals, awards and ribbons, including the National Defense Service Medal, the Bronze Star and the Combat Action Ribbon.

For a time Bill worked with Princess Cruises as a purchasing agent, and as a result every opening scene of the television show Love Boat had a shot of his red pickup in the parking lot. He also worked for and eventually retired from Nemer Ford in Queensbury.

In addition to spending time with his family, Bill enjoyed stamp trading, fishing, NASCAR, and cheering on the New Orleans Saints. He also loved cooking and caring for his plants.

Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Peggy Rehm; his son, Zachary Rehm and his wife, Carol Stragnell; his mother, Joyce Millett and her husband John; his siblings, Jeffrey Rehm, Mitchell Rehm and his wife, Sue, Debbie Craft and her fiancé, Doug Allen, John Millett Jr. and his wife, Julie, Laurie Millett and Carmen, Jamie Millett, and Denise Webb and her husband; his in-laws, Joe and Sandra Collins; his brothers and sisters-in law, Dan and Lynn Collins, Albert and Julie Carrow, Bill and Colleen Schnorr, and Gary and Lynn Harper; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to thank Dr. Tucker Slingerland and his staff for their care and compassion during Bill’s illness, as well as everyone at the Community Hospice of Saratoga for their tremendous support.
