What better place to make friends than Friends Lake. I met Dick when his wife, Pat invited several of us women from church to a retreat held at their camp at Friends Lake. We gathered at their camp each year for several years. Dick was always there at the start to welcome us and carry our bags. Such a kind and gentleman. I am proud to say I knew him. I wish I had taken the time to know him better. He and Pat made a wonderful couple. Now, half of the smiles will be gone. Dick, however, will be smiling at his family from heaven. His life on earth is over, his new life has just begun.
