Obituary for Howard Alfred Nason

CAMBRIDGE

Howard A. Nason, 83, passed away on February 27, 2014 at Glens Falls Hospital.

Born at home on Clay Hill on February 4, 1931 in Hoosick Falls, NY, Howard was the son of the late Walter and Gladys (Roseburg) Nason.

Howard proudly served his country in the United States Army in Korea, and also the National Guard.

Howard was a millworker, and was also employed as a janitor at the Bennington Medical Hospital, where he retired in 1996.

Howard married Carol Barker in 1997.

He enjoyed family gatherings, hunting, fishing, and playing card games. He was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Cambridge, NY.

In addition to his parents, Howard was predeceased by an infant brother, Darno Nason, three sisters, Juanita, Ruth and Marion Nason, and a brother, Robert Nason.

Survivors include Howard’s loving wife, Carol Nason, his children; Gerald Nason of Williamstown, MA, Jeffrey Nason of the Phillipines, and Julia Ann Nason of NYC, several grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter.

Friends may call from 12 Noon to 1:00pm at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 123 Main Street, Argyle.

A memorial service will be celebrated 1 pm Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 123 Main Street, Argyle, NY 12809. To leave online condolences or to view Howard’s Book of Memories, please visit www.kilmerfuneralhome.com.

Interment will be conducted at 2:00pm Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
