Condolence: To Barb's family- I just heard the sad news and I can't believe it. She was one of a kind, a gentle soul and amazing woman. I had the privilege of working with her. I loved hearing about her cruise trips to Greece and Alaska and I loved listening to her words of wisdom. She was an asset to the BOCES students in Brenes program. Words can not express how sorry I am for your loss. I was one of the fortunate ones that had the privilege of meeting Barb 11 years ago and just truly fell in love with her and considered her one of my dearest friends. When she walked into a room it came alive, she was like a ray of sunshine I looked forward to seeing each and everyday in the classroom as she could turn any bad day into a great day just from her presence alone. She loved life, her family and sharing her stories which gave off such needed positive energy to anyone that would listen. She was our "cos Barbie doll" with a heart of gold , a beautiful happy smile and wonderful words of encouragement for everyone around her. I miss her dearly but will never ever forget and will always cherish the special moments , fun times and conversations we have shared...prayers to you and your special family

Bernie and I were shocked and saddened to hear of Barbara's passing. I have so many great memories of spending many summer days helping her with the boys when they were little (and amazingly adorable). When Bernie and I got married, the beautiful cake she made for our wedding was not only beautiful, but especially delicious. Bernie was lucky enough to get to know Barbara when he was working at BOCES and always thought very fondly of her.
