The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Elizabeth Carpenter can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: To know Betty was to love Betty and to be loved by her. Every arrival at home was greeted by Betty's engaging smile and happy eyes which embraced you as completely as her all-embracing bear hugs and kisses. And to know Betty was to know the very complete love she carried always for her children and grandchildren. She never lacked for stories to tell about Tom, Priscilla, Hal, Holly and the grandchildren. Her stories and shared memories from her childhood and cheerleading times forward will always be with me. The laughs, smiles and energy with which she delivered her tales will stay with me forever. She has left a mark on my heart and soul. And I never left her company hungry; there was always a multiple course meal awaiting me whenever I arrived home. God bless her for all she did for the Oetken family and for the love she poure out to Dad. Now she will bring joy to her loved ones in heaven as she did to her family in this world.

M condolences and love to you all.
