Linda (Weir) Tucker, 66, of West Road, passed away on Friday, Jan. 8, 2016 at Glens Falls Hospital surrounded by her family.

Born on November 13, 1949 in Glens Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late, Hugh and Arlene (McDougall) Weir.

Linda attended Argyle Central School and retired from Pleasant Valley Infirmary Nursing Home, in Argyle after 30 years of service. She continued her nursing skills as a home health aide taking care of the elderly. Linda was a member of Argyle Presbyterian Church and loved horses and her cat Patience. Linda was an active volunteer at local soup kitchens, where she would save her Christmas jars to give to people in need. She loved reading, shopping and her old cars. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren as well as her sister, Marylyn Wade.


In addition to her parents, Linda is predeceased by her husband, Wilfred James Tucker.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jeff Tucker and his wife, Heather, of South Glens Falls and Brian Tucker and his significant other, Daphne Parker, of Argyle; her sisters, Marylyn Wade and her husband, Poncho, of Argyle, Carol Reed and her husband, Larry, of Argyle and Pat Myslicki and her late husband, Al, of N.C.; her grandchildren, Joshua Tucker, of Argyle and Jacey Lynn and Trace Jeffrey Tucker of South Glens Falls; her nephews, Shawn, Jason and Justin Wade, of Argyle; her niece, Stacey Wade, of Argyle; her brother in law, Alfred Tucker and his wife Linda of Greenwich; many nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as many close friends, especially, Cheryl Durkee and Jeanie Sumner.

Friends may call from 10 am to 11am Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016 at the Argyle Presbyterian Church, Main St., Argyle.

Memorial services will follow calling hours at the church at 11:00 am with Rev. Stephen McLean, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
