Obituary for Ada Elizabeth Glacy (Noyes)

Ada Elizabeth  Glacy (Noyes)
South Glens Falls
Ada Elizabeth Glacy of Woodscape, Moreau, NY and Spring Hill, FL., passed away following a short illness on Tuesday October 25, 2016.

Ada was born in 1936 to Alta C. Alderman and H. Clifford Noyes Sr. in Glens Falls.

She graduated from South Glens Falls Central School in 1954 and SUNY Plattsburgh in 1958 with a B.S. in School Nurse Teaching.

She was employed by the Glens Falls School system for 5 years before starting a family. She substituted in several local schools until retirement age.

She is predeceased by her parents, Alta C. Alderman and H. Clifford Noyes Sr.; her grandparents, Sarah and Harry G. Noyes Sr. and Ada and James Alderman.

Ada is survived by her husband of 57 years, William C. Glacy; two sons, Todd William (Sue), of Portland, Maine and Kurt Matthew (Tasha), of Spring Hill, Florida; one daughter, Judith Lynne (David) Lebel, of Queensbury, New York; two grandchildren, Eric David Lebel, of Stanford University, California and Deanna Lynne Lebel, of Queensbury, New York; also a brother, H. Clifford Noyes Jr. (Laraine), of Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Ada was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Glens Falls and also attended Grace Presbyterian Church in Spring Hill, Florida.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday November 5, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church of Glens Falls with the Rev. John E. Barclay, pastor, officiating.

Private burial will be in South Side Cemetery, Moreau at the convenience of the family.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Saratoga Community Hospice for their support and care.
