Obituary for Dorothy Marie Taylor (Deskewies)

Dorothy Marie Taylor (Deskewies)
BALLSTON LAKE
Dorothy M. Taylor,88, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 25, 2018.
Born on May 31, 1930, in Troy, New York, she was the daughter of Edward and Viola (Genski) Deskewies.
Dorothy enjoyed reading, traveling and spending summers with her family at their camp in Long Lake. She was always admired for her gentleness, strength and moxie. Winning the 1954 stock car championship in the powder puff division and accompanying her husband on motorcycle rides when she was well into her 70’s are just a couple examples of her free spirit.
Dorothy was married for 67 years to the late Irving Taylor, who predeceased her in 2017. She was the beloved mother of Deborah Hollenbeck of South Glens Falls, Donna Clarke of Holyoke, Massachusetts and Diane Taylor of Ballston Lake. She is survived by five grandchildren, Bill Bloodgood, Tracy Rudin, Seth Richardson, Joel Richardson and Jenna Van Der Volgen, three great-grandchildren, Taylor Kelley, Skyler Florence and Erick Rudin, and two great-great-grandchildren, Robin and Benjamin Kelley.
At Dorothy’s request there will be no calling hours or services. Arrangements are in the care of the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main Street, South Glens Falls, NY 12803.
