Obituary for Wesley A. Olmsted

NEWCOMB

Wesley A. Olmsted, 63, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at his home.

Born November 24, 1954 in Saratoga Springs, NY, he was the son of the late Norwood and Elizabeth (Crocker) Olmstead.

Wesley graduated from South Glens Falls High School.

On June 29, 1974, he married the love of his life, Debbie Rose Smith in South Glens Falls and together they enjoyed each other’s company until her passing on December 8, 2017.

Debbie and Wesley attended the Long Lake Wesleyan Church at the Newcomb campus.

Wesley was an outdoorsman who was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also loved skiing and snowmobiling. He belonged to the Newcomb Snowmobiling Club.

Left to cherish Wesley’s memory are his son, Charles Olmsted, his sister, Elaine Olmsted, his sister-in-law Sylvia Gregory (Kenneth), his nephew Kenneth “Casey” Gregory Jr., several grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

At Wesley’s request there will be no calling hours. Services will be conducted at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are in the care of the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main Street, South Glens Falls, NY 12803.
