Louise K. (Caputo)“Toots” Hart, 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 7, 2015 at her home with her family by her side.
Born January 5, 1939 in Fort Edward, NY, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Ruth (Williams) Caputo.
Louise graduated from South Glens Falls High School in 1956. She was employed by Fort William Henry in Lake George, and also drove a Mr. Softy truck.
Louise married Elmer J. Hart in 1960 at St. Joseph’s Church in Fort Edward.
She was a former member of the Corinth Emergency Squad Auxiliary. Louise was also a Cub Scout Leader for years and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She also enjoyed playing pool for various leagues, and playing Bingo.
Louise enjoyed crossword puzzles, sharing coffee and scratching lottery tickets with her friends, and listening to music and the Corinth Barn every summer. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and siblings, Louise was predeceased by her husband, Elmer J. Hart, and her grandson Billie Joe Fleming.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; Elmer J. Hart of Virginia Beach, VA, Ruth M. Hart of Glens Falls, RoseMarie Logan and her husband Ronald of Medina, OH, Marcus Hart Sr. and his wife Bonnie of Gansevoort, Louis Hart Sr. and his wife Magdalena of Hudson Falls, Kay L. Hart and her companion Anthony Ruggiero of Lake Luzerne, Jeanette Cook and her husband David of Corinth, her brother-in-law Walt Mylott Sr. of Hudson Falls, her sisters-in-law; Angeline Caputo of Fort Edward and Theresa Winters of Clemons, , as well as over 100 grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00pm, Friday, September 11, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Church,164 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
