GLENS FALLS
Andrew “Drew” Davis, 49, of Glens Falls passed away unexpectedly on August 8, 2010 at his home. He was the son of the late Earl and Alyce (Ringer) Davis.

Drew was an alumnus of Glens Falls High School and spent his entire life in the Glens Falls area. On December 13, 1991, he was married to Reneé LeClair by Judge Angelo Root in Bolton Landing.

Drew was a skilled and experienced sous chef, having worked in many restaurants throughout the Lake George and Saratoga region, most notably the House of Scots in Bolton. He was also employed at the Glens Falls Hospital as a laboratory technician, and most recently as a laboratory technician for Lehigh Cement.

His greatest enjoyments in life were spending time with his immediate family, his brothers and his sisters, always preparing fabulous meals and fantastic dinners. A large feast with his several family members was always a recipe for great memories, fun times and great food. He especially liked to serve pizza made using his Dad’s famous pizza recipe. Cooking was his passion, and Drew always teased our palettes. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and other water activities.

In addition to his wife Reneé, Drew is survived by his son, Benjamin and his daughter, Clair – both being the light of his life. Other survivors include his seven sisters and brothers, including Mary King; Peter Ratti and his wife Amy; Patricia Landry and her husband Robert; David Davis and his wife Susan; John Davis; Suzanne Guzman; and Daniel Davis and his wife Renee. He also has many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends that will miss him very much.

Friends may call on the family from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 136 Main Street, South Glens Falls, NY 12803. Online condolences may be posted at kilmerfuneralhome.com.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2010 in St. Mary’s Church in Glens Falls with the Reverend Peter Young, officiating.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
