Obituary for Vicki Ann Rice

Vicki Ann  Rice
Queensbury

Vicki Ann Rice, 56, of Queensbury, went to join her father, Wednesday, June 25, 2014.

Vicki was born on Oct. 1, 1957 in Albany, NY, to Madeline (Post) Homeyer and the late George Rice.

Vicki became a LPN in 1997. When she wasn’t spending time with her family, she enjoyed walking her dogs, Cocoa and Mocha whom she considered her children. Her many passions include taking care of her flower gardens, traveling and unwinding at The Rock in Knapp Estate in Lake George. Vicki has also been attending the Gospel Lighthouse Church, where she volunteered her time helping with various activities.

Besides her father, she was also predeceased by her grandson, Dana Phillips.

She was a loving and caring woman. Her family was her life.

Left to cherish her memories besides her mother include her two daughters, Melody Hall and her husband Archie and Brandy Fish and her partner, Walter Mitchell IV; her grandchildren, Kayla Ortiz and her husband Angel, Cara Tatsey and her husband Bruce, William Hall, Kendra Mitchell and Walter Mitchell V; her great-grandchildren, Travis, Cadence, and Gavin Tatsey; her sisters, Robyn Rice, Tracey Rice and Lisa Beecher and her husband David; her brother, George Rice and his wife Giselle; along with several nieces, nephews and loving friends.

Vicki has touched many lives in her time here. Her smile and laugh will continue to live on and light up the lives of all those who knew her.

At Vicki’s request there will be no calling hours.

Memorial services will be conducted 11:00am on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the Gospel Lighthouse Church, With the Rev. Paul Mead, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
