Winifred and Daniel O'Brien were the best in laws anyone could ever ask for. My memories of them will always be treasured memories. They were loving caring and generous beyond imagination.
Their arrival at our home on a saturday morning was like Christmas in July! They'd come bearing diapers and baby formula, toys and food. They would take us to nice restaurants and slip you the money for the oil bill on their way out the door.
Dad would be lying on the floor with a kid climbing on his stomach and Mom would be bouncing the other one on her knee. Dad was the jokster, always leaving us laughing and Mom was the ever practical one....bringing us vitamins as well as italian pastry! LOL
Winnie was Dan's devoted wife and staunchest supporter. She always looked up at him with starry eyes even years and years into their marriage. I loved the way she glowed with love as she watched him speak. And he so depended on her for just about everything. I can still hear him bellow "Hey Ma where's my glasses!" and she would always always know.
Winnie was a strong accomplished woman who loved her family to no end and adored her husband. Her kindness and sparkling personality lit up my life for many years.
God bless them both. They were wonderful people and wonderful together .They are finally together again.
