Katherine M. Emigh, 85, passed away at Albany Medical Center on September 10, 2013 as the result of an automobile accident in Fort Ann.

Born January 6, 1928 in North Greenwich, NY she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Bertha (Stewart) Swinburne.

Katherine was a graduate of Argyle Central School and Mildred Elley Business College. She was employed as a legal secretary in several law firms in the Albany and Glens Falls area, and most recently retired from the Probation Department of the Great Meadow Correctional Facility.

Katherine was a member of the Zion Episcopal Church in Hudson Falls, NY. She was also a member of the Fort Ann Senior Citizens Association. She enjoyed traveling and socializing with her friends.

In addition to her parents, Katherine was predeceased by her husband, Donald Emigh who passed away in 2001, as well as her daughter Susan A. Emigh in 2006, and a sister, Julia Kelley.

Survivors include her son William Emigh and his wife Gina, of Poughkeepsie, two granddaughters, Olivia and Hannah Emigh also of Poughkeepsie, several nieces and nephews from the Albany area, and many friends.

A funeral service will be held at 10am, Saturday September 14, 2013 at the Zion Episcopal Church, 232 Main Street, Hudson Falls, NY 12839. Burial will follow at North Elba Cemetery, Lake Placid, NY.
